Week 8

During this week the group visited the machine shop several times. The first time was to cut out the fork for the design. This was done using materials from the shop and a band saw. The group then returned the next day in order to shape the fork into a better design. They used a belt sander in order to sharpen the points of the fork and smooth out any rough edges. The group agreed that they would return to the machine shop in the next week to make the knife as well as the casing that will house the fork and knife.
